Covent Garden is a well known market in London. It has many restaurants and shops. There are shops selling anything from handcrafted items to high end fashion clothing. It is also a popular place for people to spend time here in the afternoon to listen to people playing music and sing, or doing performance.
Covent Garden was a must visit for us and we went to Covent Garden on the first day we got to London. Covent Garden was easily accessible via London's Tube subway system. When we go there, it was already in the afternoon and all the vendors were open. We first went to Apple Market to check things out.
Initially we thought Apple Market would be selling apple related goods, but that was not the case. Apple Market was just a name. There were many handcrafted items sold here and there were also many pastry stores. We also saw a ventriloquist performing here and many kids were watching the play. Ventriloquist was performing a dancing and singing skeleton. It was fun to watch.
We then walked to the other side and found few toy stores selling fun toys for kids. The toys weren't all that interesting, mostly puzzles and various card games. We also came across a tea shop where everyone was there purchasing different kids of tea. We were thinking that it was because this was the only shop with AC on. That was why people were here to get out of the hot weather.
As we get out and checked out the other aisle, there were many people sitting at the outdoor cafeteria that was one level below us. People were watching a d listening to the woman on the stage singing. It was such as relaxed afternoon.
After that, we then went to check out Jubilee Market. Jubilee Makert was less interesting. The stores at Jubilee Market was mostly selling cheaper merchandise and there were much less people here. The stores were not selling unique stuff either.
Covent Garden was definitely a very interesting place to visit. A lot of shopping can be done here since there were also many shopping streets just near by. It is definitely a place to go to when visiting London.
